These terms explain the operating rules KeDOS applies to Kenlife accommodation bookings. Kenlife own accommodation remains unavailable for online sale until Admin activates completed accommodation products and physical units.
1. Booking & occupancy
Provide accurate guest names, contact details, dates and occupancy. A room, cottage or camping pitch may not exceed the maximum safe occupancy configured for that physical unit/package. A connecting-cottage booking reserves both linked units as one stay when both are available.
2. Bed & Breakfast
Published Kenlife Mavueni room/cottage/camping packages are configured on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The exact inclusions shown on the confirmed booking govern the stay.
3. Temporary room hold
Online selection creates a temporary hold for the period configured by Kenlife. The hold is not a confirmed booking until required identity checks and payment are completed. An expired/failed hold may release the accommodation back to inventory.
4. Primary guest identity
Where identity verification is enabled, the primary guest must provide an accepted identity document. Kenyan National ID capture may include front and back images. KeDOS records the external verification result separately from any Manager exception decision.
5. Government identity connector
KeDOS is designed for an authorised Government Identity Verification connector, including an IPRS-ready adapter. Kenlife does not represent that a connector is live unless authorised credentials and the official technical integration have been configured. An unavailable government service is not treated as an identity mismatch.
6. Manager identity exception
If automated verification cannot complete or returns a mismatch, payment/check-in remains restricted until an authorised Manager reviews the explanation/evidence and separately approves or rejects the exceptional case. The Manager decision does not overwrite the external verification result.
7. Identity privacy
Raw identity scans are restricted operational evidence. They are not attached to ordinary WhatsApp/email messages. KeDOS applies the configured temporary raw-scan retention period after a verification/review is resolved; document hashes and audit evidence may remain after the raw file is deleted.
8. Payment & confirmation
For online Kenlife accommodation, payment is enabled only after the configured identity gate is satisfied. A booking is confirmed only after the payment provider confirms settlement. KeDOS then issues the booking/receipt record and queues customer communications through available email and WhatsApp channels.
9. Camping — own tent
Camping means the guest brings their own tent and receives one designated 3m × 4m pitch among the trees. The published price is KES 3,000 for one person, KES 4,000 for two people, plus KES 1,000 for each permitted additional person, subject always to the safe maximum occupancy configured before activation.
10. Camping rules
Guests must remain within their allocated pitch, declare every occupant, protect trees and property, dispose of waste in designated points, follow quiet hours, supervise children, and use cooking/fire areas only where Kenlife has expressly designated them. Management may close or relocate camping activity when weather, flooding, fire, security or another safety condition requires it.
11. Guest conduct & safety
Kenlife guest-conduct, security, alcohol, health/safety and property rules apply throughout the stay. Staff may give reasonable safety and operational instructions that guests are expected to follow.
12. Partner accommodation
Nearby partner accommodation is operated by the partner facility. A Kenlife recommendation/request is not a confirmed partner booking until availability, rate and booking conditions are confirmed. Partner-specific cancellation, settlement and facility rules apply in addition to Kenlife's coordination record.
