1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern use of the Kenlife website, Shop & Book, customer and supplier portals, event registration, digital communications and related online services. By creating an account, placing an order, making a booking, registering for an event or using a protected portal, you agree to these terms and any specific terms presented for that transaction.
2. Accounts
One customer account may be used to shop, book, register for events, participate in rewards and represent an approved corporate profile. You must provide accurate information and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised use.
Supplier accounts are for approved or applying goods suppliers/service providers and may require due diligence. Staff/administrative portals have separate access rules and are not public customer accounts.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must have legal capacity to enter the relevant transaction. A person acting for a company, group, institution or supplier confirms they are authorised to submit the transaction or request on its behalf.
4. Prices, availability and quotations
Prices are shown in the stated currency and may vary by branch, product, package, date, capacity or promotion. The operational currency is KES; supported foreign-currency payment may be converted or settled through approved payment rails. Online display does not guarantee availability until the booking/order is confirmed. Custom events, catering, large groups or institutional work may require a quotation.
5. Orders
Submitting a cart creates an order request. Kenlife may need to verify stock, branch capacity, address, payment and serviceability before final fulfilment. Perishable and made-to-order items may enter preparation soon after confirmation, which can affect cancellation options.
6. Bookings
Bookable offers may operate as inquiries, temporary holds or confirmed reservations depending on the offer. A temporary hold expires if required payment or confirmation is not completed within the stated period. Guest numbers, dates, venue rules, deposits and cancellation conditions shown during booking become part of the transaction.
7. Events and redemption codes
Kenlife may publish free or paid one-time and recurring events. Registration can be capacity-limited. Redemption or promotional codes may have start/end dates, usage limits, customer limits or event restrictions. Codes have no independent cash value unless explicitly stated or required by law.
8. Payments
Payments may be offered through M-Pesa, Pesapal, cards, banks or other approved rails as configured. A payment is treated as confirmed only after the relevant provider and KeDOS payment/reconciliation controls indicate successful settlement. You must not manipulate callbacks, payment references or transaction records.
9. Guest conduct and safety
Visitors and guests must follow Kenlife’s reasonable health, safety, security, guest-admission and conduct instructions. Kenlife may refuse or end service where behaviour creates a material safety, security, harassment, property or legal risk, subject to applicable law and fair treatment.
10. Supplier portal
Supplier access does not guarantee award of business. RFQs, purchase orders, receiving, quality checks, service completion, invoices and payment follow Kenlife procurement controls. A supplier must not treat a draft requisition or informal message as an authorised purchase order unless Kenlife explicitly confirms otherwise.
11. Communications
You may receive transactional email, WhatsApp, SMS or portal notifications about your order, booking, payment, event, support case or supplier transaction. Marketing communications are subject to applicable consent/objection rules and preferences.
12. Reviews and content
Reviews and feedback should be truthful and lawful. Do not upload unlawful, defamatory, infringing, malicious or privacy-invasive content. Kenlife may moderate content on its own systems while preserving legitimate complaints and evidence.
13. Suspension and termination
Kenlife may suspend an account or transaction where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security abuse, harassment, unlawful activity, repeated non-payment or serious violation of these terms. Where appropriate, the user will be given information about the issue and an opportunity to resolve it.
14. Service availability
Kenlife works to keep digital services available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, network failure, payment-provider downtime, Meta/WhatsApp outages, power issues or other dependencies can temporarily affect service. Confirmed business records remain subject to backup, reconciliation and recovery procedures.
15. Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any other limitation is applied only to the extent permitted by law and in light of the specific contract, payment and circumstances.
16. Changes and governing law
Kenlife may update these terms for operational, legal or service changes. The version in force when you enter a transaction applies together with transaction-specific terms. These terms are governed by Kenyan law, subject to mandatory consumer protections and competent dispute-resolution forums.
